By providing both financial resources and access to professional facilities, the program ensures that local audiences benefit from performances of elevated artistic standards while reducing barriers to production. This grant advances dance as an industry and supports excellence and talent development.

Scope

The Creative Movement Grant is designed to provide significant support for the development and presentation of a full dance production by established artists. Each recipient is awarded $8,000 in direct funding to realize their choreographic vision and bring a complete dance work to the stage. In addition, the grant includes complimentary use of the Harquail Theatre for both rehearsals and a full production run, ensuring access to professional facilities without additional venue costs.
