Under the Same Sun celebrates the creativity and artistic expression of young people across the Cayman Islands. Presented through a partnership between the Department of Education Services and the Cayman National Cultural Foundation, this exhibition highlights the imagination, talent, and perspectives of the next generation of artists.

An Exhibition of Student Art Exploring Creativity, Perspective, and Expression

What do young artists see when they look at the world around them?

Under the Same Sun brings together a collection of student artwork that reflects the imagination, curiosity, and creativity of young people across the Cayman Islands. Through painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, and digital work, these artists explore their ideas, observations, and experiences in unique and expressive ways.

The works in this exhibition capture moments of discovery as students experiment with colour, form, texture, and storytelling. Inspired by nature, everyday life, and the world they are growing up in, each piece offers a glimpse into how young artists interpret their surroundings and express their perspectives.

Together, these artworks remind us that creativity connects us all. While each student brings their own voice and vision, they share a common space of exploration, imagination, and possibility — creating under the same sun.
