Grants Programme Guidance

The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) Grants Programme is designed to support the growth, development, and sustainability of arts, culture, and heritage in the Cayman Islands.

The guidelines provide an overview of how the grants programme works, who can apply, what funding supports, and how applications are assessed. All applicants are encouraged to review the guidelines carefully before submitting a proposal.

Each grant has specific objectives, eligibility requirements, and assessment criteria, which are outlined within the individual grant calls.

What the Grants Support

CNCF grants support projects that contribute to:

  • Artistic and cultural development

  • Heritage preservation and education

  • Creative industry growth

  • Community engagement and cultural participation

Funding may be used to support creative production, research, training, public programmes, events, publications, and other initiatives aligned with CNCF’s mandate.

Eligibility requirements vary by grant. Applications may be submitted by individual artists and cultural practitioners, non-profit and community-based organisations, cultural groups, and other eligible entities as outlined in each Call for Proposals. Applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.

Grants Application Proccess

Assessment Process

Applications are reviewed through a structured assessment process that considers artistic or cultural merit, alignment with the objectives of the grant, feasibility, community impact, and value for money. Detailed scoring criteria are provided within each individual grant call.

Before You Apply

Before submitting an application, applicants should:

  • Review the full guidelines and grant-specific criteria

  • Ensure all required documents are prepared

  • Register through the CNCF grants application portal

  • Submit applications by the stated deadline

Incomplete or late applications may not be considered.

Not every eligible application can be successful. As a result, applicants should consider other options if CNCF cannot fund their activity.
